This beautiful home in MariNa del Rey designed by gilmore design studio is filled with several commissioned BESPOKE PIECES we had pleasure of creating. we loved how designer, tracy gilmore, used her expertise to seamlesslY express her clients vision and intuition. follow along on our journey through this project to see what we came up with for the space.
this first meeting turned into a beautiful partnership where tracy and steve saw potential to partner on several other specific pieces they had envisioned for his space.
TRACY CAME TO VISIT US AT OUR STUDIO TO SEE THE MORESBY LOUNGE CHAIR AND BAR CART for a SIT TEST with THE CHAIR along with HER CLIENT STEVE. they needed to look into CUSTOMIZing our BAR CART TO FIT PERFECTLY IN THE SPACE it was going to live.
We had the pleasure of creating this new sideboard/dresser.
This solid wood constructed sideboard cabinet features turned legs, hand-cut joinery and a floating top. It details three push-to-open, soft closing drawers. and a cabinet with push to open solid wood doors. We now have several iterations available of this piece. Introducing the KABOT.
WHEN ASKED TO COME UP WITH A CANE BACKED CHAIR FOR THE SPACE, CHRIS IMMEDIATELY HAD AN IDEA FOR THIS CHAIR. IT FEATURES FLOATING ARM RESTS WHICH ARE A NOD TO THE STONE AXES OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA WHERE HE GREW UP.
